Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP
Really glad to get this - to be honest I had not really listed to the individual releases much. It's not a complaint as such, (call me old fashioned) but I don't like this format for releasing the tunes. The first one I could buy, the next few I could not, they were all obviously edits and I kind of just hoped for something like this instead.

Anyone else waiting/hoping for a physical release or are you just sticking with the digital now (£13.49 for lossless!)

Moaning aside - absolutely loving the new music as always Like was mentioned in the previous posts, a bit more raw and nice to get back to some intense techno.

Agree...great to have these all in one place with non-edited versions. I'm on through listen 5, and really enjoy the pace, mood and transitions, too. Dexter's Chalk continues to excite. Not as psyched about the improv jam, as it doesn't really hearken back to the original for me and I find it a little basically in terms of not really evolving beyond a few repeated grooves. But it's pleasant enough, and definitely the more organic side of UW, per their soundtracks or maybe like the Eno-Hyde jams.

I have the EP downloaded via subscription service, so I guess I'm paying a small price for this every month, but split between hundreds of other tracks. If the price is right, I'd consider buying digital, but really would like a CD or maybe DVD with the film's, too

Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP
Well i wont be buying the singles now that I know the full EP will be released a month or so after. But other than that, I really enjoyed the full deal.

Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP
this trio of songs:

2) Universe of Can When Black _ 6:04 (Underworld)
3) Dexters Chalk _ 5:01 (Underworld, Ø [Phase])
4) Another Silent Way _ 5:27 (Underworld)

is the most i've liked new underworld tracks in a long time.

another silent way is THE standout track to me, which evokes the most classic underworld sound.
these tracks definitely deserve some remixes now.

these 'full' versions are good. but i still feel more can be done to them.

normally i would be tracking these, but with all these haphazard releases, mixed digital formats,
and whatnot, i haven't bothered. but for the actual underworld tracks [not collabs], i'll update them in the list
at some point.

Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP
think they're saying they'd prefer the full version in the ep than the blip that ended up in there. would've been nice to split the difference imo

Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP
Yes, we're asking for a full BYTWB. The short intro makes no sense. It wasn't part of the drift Ep. 1 series, and this short edit adds very little to the vibe of this release.

Now, If Ep. 2 starts with more of BYTWB, we can talk about continuity and common threads...

I've listened to this EP through 8 or 9 times today. As is always the case, each listen reveals something new. I'm more interested in Zebra than earlier, but still struggling to make sense of the Silent Note improv. But still excited for new tunes

disagree! thought it was a great stroke that could've gone on for another 90 seconds for full effect.

Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP
BYTWB has been released to its full extent, 6:15! I found it lossless on qobuz.
