ESCALE Ep. 7 "The Good Light"
Episode 7- "Seasonal Impact"
Episode 7 of ESCALE's monthly release series fondly revisits 90's techno (see Orbital for inspiration), but with fully modern production. "Seasonal Impact" begins with an urgent analog alarm along warm synth, like a calm day suddenly broken by a storm warning. Layers of bass and drums steadily build the tension leading to the sonic impact: a growling electro hook that churns like a fastmoving thunderstorm before relative calm is restored. Blazek and Ruskin continue to refine and redefine how to produce a collaborative album, with each monthly episode helping to focus what ESCALE is about and what the eventual "Wait for a Good Light" album will be.

If you have 3m30s to spare, take a listen. Its bleepy and bloopy and you will like this.

Why thanks, Stimpee! No joke, the working title for this track was "bleeps and booms", and there are indeed bloops, too!
