Re: Moon in Water
Agreed. Moon In Water is the standout track from that broadcast. I'd love for Underworld to release it as a high quality download. Breathtaking, really.

Re: Moon in Water
Moon in Water is also featured in a podcast of UW's tech friend Dave Spiers,
as it obviously features one of his soft synths:

Re: Moon in Water
Incidentally, the "woman" who "sings" on this track also appears on an excellent, but rare track called "This We Know" by Mark Kilian. It's like the kissing cousin to "Moon in Water."

Speaking of, anyone want to take a gander at the MIW "lyrics?"

Re: Moon in Water
The "woman" voice is the Macintalk voice, Vicki. Mac users can emulate Vicki's performance on "Moon in Water" with the following steps:

1. Go to System Preferences and click Speech.
2. Change the voice to "Vicki" and turn the Speaking Rate down to about halfway between Slow and the next highest hash mark.
3. Open TextEdit.
4. Type in the lyrics to Moon in Water, then go to the Edit menu -> Speech -> Start Speaking.

"Vicki" also stars on Adam Freeland's "We Want Your Soul".

Vicki's progenitor, "Victoria" is the voice on Underworld's "Van Halen, Van Halen, Rock Guitar Band" and "Bungalow with Stairs".

Re: Moon in Water
Here is Moon in Water cut out from Spiers' podcast. I can't say that it's significantly better in quality than the radio show, but there you go:

Re: Moon in Water
The kinds of things that were on the radio shows? Those are all still available on the RTSR tracker.

Re: Moon in Water
Wow, this track is great...yet another one I really really hope can be released soon! I like the live drum feel; is it just me or is Underworld starting to take a more 'organic' approach and do songs that could, concievably, be played by some kind of band? I always thought "Parc" was more New Wave than electronic...
