Recreating the Sounds of Underworld...
Something I've recently been doing, is recreating the patches and sounds that Underworld use in their songs. I've not done a lot so far, but...

Bird1 Oscar lead;
http://kotera.co.uk/synth/Bird1c.wav

Bird1 Oscar lead 2 (Heard in video);
http://kotera.co.uk/synth/Bird1d.wav

The lead arp from Rez... Quite tricky, unfinished, quiet;
http://kotera.co.uk/synth/CowArp1.wav

All I've got available online so far... I'm still creating and perfecting these ones at the moment anyway. Still, it's fun. I will admit it's not the best, however...

EDIT: The site they were uploaded to no longer exists. Links are dead until I get a chance to find the files and upload elsewhere.

Re: Recreating the Sounds of Underworld...
you can get bird 1 stems from beatport:
--
https://www.beatport.com/release/bir...x-parts/281905

theres more sounds from the underworld drum app,
13 songs:
Beautiful Burnout
Born Slippy Nuxx
Cowgirl
Crocodile
Jumbo
King of Snake
Lenne Penne
Mo Move
Moaner
Nu Train
Pearl's Girl
Two Months Off
Voxjam

--
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/idrum...324031786?mt=8

you can download and unzip the sounds on a computer,
(they are ogg vorbis format.)
without the need for anything from apple.

Re: Recreating the Sounds of Underworld...
Oh yes, I've got the stems and samples. I've been sequencing the samples into the full songs recently too...

And I've been meaning to try the cups synth, guess that's my next one.

I should say, thanks to the leaked beta of the game Rez, I've also been able to get the note sequences to the Rez lead and the Cow Arp. Perhaps I should post the midi file containing these patterns at some point, if it's not been done already?

Hi there, im working on a cover/remix of Rez/cowgirl for a festival in Australia, getting a jazz singer to do the vocals etc, i have most of the files ready but im still missing the lead form Rez, after doing a bit of searching i think you might have the answer.. any chance you can post the midi to the lead? or explain how to extract it from the rez game?

thanks in advance! happy 2012! =)

Oh damn. I'm so sorry I didn't know you even posted here... I did post the midi in another thread, but here it is; http://www.mediafire.com/?28pjzhhnfw4aim2
I'm extremely sorry if it's way too late... I thought I'd set this thread up to send me emails on each new reply...
