Re: Leftfield recordings thread: that 'old' Leftfield show (begging for a copy)
The Homelands recording (I was there on my stag night) still rates as my fav live download after all these years.

Got my tickets for Bournemouth in November

the recording comes from some cdrs that were made by the sounddesk guys. the end of cd2 has a chill-out mix for some reason on it.

best r&s recording is homelands.

oh, and i saw leftfield at rockness and led festival. my life is complete.
Damn, you're right - 96, not 95. Stupid mistake - I should have spotted it as I saw them at Southampton at the end of May that year.

Do you mean this footage for Brixton '96? If so, they didn't film the whole thing unforuntunately, just a few bits and pieces.

Do we know of any copies of the CDRs at higher bitrate, or even FLAC? I'd kill for that

Re: Leftfield recordings thread: that 'old' Leftfield show (begging for a copy)
Just got back form Leftfield's gig in Bournemouth...what a night )) Has to go down as the loudest gig I have ever been too .. even louder than Silver Column's gig (underworld's support at Brixton) last Saturday.

They rolled out all the favs with special mention to Inspection Check One Great energy & the crowd seemed really up for it.

Please stop my bloody ears ringing !

Yeah, 50minutes of Electric Picnic 2010 are available...
Search for "Leftfield live" and "Electric Picnic" and you'll find a link.

Re: Leftfield recordings thread: that 'old' Leftfield show (begging for a copy)
Many thanks for this thread which I stumbled on by chance. As an old Leftfield fan (saw them plenty of times back in the day, think my favourite was Brixton Academy in 98 or 99 I think, so very loud!, my girl-friend at the time freaked out and had to leave as she felt the bass was stopping her breathe!)

With thanks I have just downloaded the Nottingham 1996 gig, Ive always wanted a Liveism recording - wicked and appreciated.

The Electric Picnic Irish download is nice and clear, but without the bass of the Homelands 2000 download.

Looking forward to Leftfield this Friday back at Brixton Academy after all these years, they were great in Hackney LED festival this summer, but as some else says in this thread you get the best volume and bass from them indoors. maybe some of you guys will be there?

Many thanks again and remember You Are Original

yea - the Electric Picnic recording is great...

just too bad it's not the whole show - it's missing "Afrika Shox" and "Phat Planet" (unless they didn't play those that night - which I doubt)

THe new show isn't bad by the way. It's decent, but definitely missing a certain spark.
