Sorry guys, was on holiday for 10 days. Anyway, I prefer original tracks as I don't really wanna pay for samples (and I don't have a creditcard anyway) and I liked the last compilation.

And decide on a theme, or not?

I was about to say no theme, but I could be on board with it as long as it's a loose theme and not too limiting. If I had to choose theme or no theme though, I would lean towards no theme personally. Just original tracks by an eclectic group of musicians.

Re: Dirty producers: Song/remix compilation
oooh, can i play too? although i'm very amateur at this kind of thing, but it would give me good reason to dust off my keyboard and guitar and play a little more extensively with garage band and reason... i don't sing very well though, but i have written alot of lyrics...

Ok, theme will be "dreamgirl, I'm desperate for you".

Tracks have to be finished and sent in on sunday the 23rd of September.

Now, who provides webspace?

And of course, anyone who wants to join in, give a shout!

Sounds like a plan! Will that be the title of the compilation (kinda reminiscent of Mmm, Skyscraper, i love you")? Dig it!

Should we try to keep the tracks under a certain length? I guess there's no rule that they have to fit on a single CD if someone wants to do a long one, although if i recall from the "Sounds for a Dirty Summer" comp., there was a fear that folks would submit 25 minutes of improvised noises (not necessarily a bad thing, but maybe not fair if others are sticvking to short and polished).
