Re: Always Loved a Film (on pete tong)
It's like listening to a child grow up. It only took it 7 years.
I like it.
The lyrics are different from the Brixton Academy gig, not sure which lyrics I like more. But i really like the accoustic guitar in the background. Nice touch.

Re: Always Loved a Film (on pete tong)
I finally realized that there was a real soft acoustic guitar strum in the background for the Brixton '08 version.

You're full of it! I can't hear anything. Where do you hear it?

I sense some sarcasm, but just in case.....
In the 320mbps Peter Tong download floating around here, it comes in roughly @3:43.

yeah, it's clear in the album version Tong played but TheBang was commenting on where the acoustic strums were on the Brixton 08 live version.

Oh....right.

I don't think I've heard any acoustic guitar on the Brixton version or any other version up till now. There is a vid floating around out there from the Brighton Beach Festival gig in Oct. 2008 where Karl was playing his Les Paul during ALAF. But I can't really distinguish what he's playing specifically. Regardless, I like the addition of guitar into the album version of ALAF or any other UW song for that matter.

Re: Always Loved a Film (on pete tong)
Didn't mean to cause a poopstorm, but I hear a faint two-note guitar strum in the background of the right channel from about 4:19 to 4:50. I hear it on every other measure during this phrase.

I only heard after listening to this through my headphones.

Oh, I see what you mean. I wouldn't call that an acoustic guitar. And that sample's been in every version.

I am liking the Barking version more each time, especially Karl's voice. The guitar is a nice surprise.
