Feric
Just thought I'd share the websites of some of my artist friends and acquaintences since this forum's here. So the first is Feric. I've never met him face to face, but we've exchanged emails on and off for years. Seems like a good guy, and does some great, graphic work.

Feric's website

Then there's Jim van der Keyl, who's one of the best caricature artists I've ever met.

Jim's website....go to the gallery

I'll add more as I come across them. Lost most of my bookmarks in a recent switch of computers here at work...

Enjoy!

Re: Feric
Finally got some time to look through these. I'd seen Eric's work before somewhere, that crossover of nature and mechanics is beautiful, and I remember thinking it could lend itself well to a video game (a la Rayman).

Jim's caricatures are nice. I like the fact that he's gone for some unusual subjects in between the more usual ones. Very often I look at caricaturist's work and it's always Arnie, Jacko, Clint, Woody, etc (which is understandable I suppose given their iconic status and the way their faces are virtually etched into our minds). But there's plenty of new ones here too that I've not seen people tackle before. Also, quite a varied style I thought - between say the extremely exaggerated features of Jeffrey Katzenburg, and the less extreme ones like Russell Crowe.

One of my favourite caricature artists of all time has to be Chris Rommel. Don't know if you're familiar with him?

One of my favourite artists/graphic designers is James Jean. I wish I was 1/10th as good as he is.

Re: Feric
Wow. I love the work of both artists posted in the replies.

Another guy I just remembered is Carter Goodrich. He was the character designer on Open Season, so I got to see tons of great work pouring out of him for about a year. He's done a bunch of New Yorker covers, and some beautiful children's books.
