That's about what I paid for mine a few months ago. I was desperate for it, and didn't think I would have another opportunity to get one for a while. It will be interesting to see what the current auction will end for, and if buzzelvis will actually get paid for it.

Re: collectors' corner
i certainly hope only serious bidders are looking at the items i am listing. i am providing the heads up via the forums because i know the community here has an interest in these items and that they will go to persons who collect/ appreciate them. i really want to make sure they go to a good home.

i may not post often but i am a daily viewer of the forums for a long time. i have been a huge fan of both tomato and underworld since 1996 when i first discovered tomato then underworld and began collecting.

so...

i have just placed my tomato2 cdrom on ebay as the next piece that i am selling. please take a look if you are interested.

Hmm i'm half tempted to go for that as its a piece I don't have, but if it goes for silly prices I won't bother. Think that item is more for the 'ardcore fans as its not real common knowledge amongst the occasional UW fan.

If you have a Skyscraper CD single or Pink Rez to flog, let me know...

Re: collectors' corner
A quick question ...

is cross border the same as Van Halen Van Halen? 3 video screens with highway signage/ truck stop imagery and tomoto woman's voice describing a trip to NY?

this audio was streaming during the Art Jam but have always called this cross border based on a spoken word piece I had of Karl quite a few years ago.

just curious.

Re: collectors' corner
Based on Book of Jam 7 (spread pages 30-32), that is indeed Van Halen Van Halen Rock Guitar Band.

What is this spoken work piece you mentioned?

Re: collectors' corner
I remember the spoken word piece having much of the same dialogue as crossing border but spoken by Karl. At one point Karl describes a beautiful photograph of a car with a dead rat attached to it that "stinks". Also talking about cell phones in dead zones and not picking up hitchhikers, pressure drop, Toots and the Maytals.

I don't know where it came from. Anyone else remember this?
