Small Conker And A Twix
From the Underworld email this morning:
Small Conker And A Twix has made a number of appearances in the WOUW throughout the years but is probably best known as the intro to You Do Scribble on the Live in Tokyo CD release in 2005. Until now it has only appeared fleetingly, never for more than a couple of minutes, when in fact the piece builds over 5 minutes….. allowing more than enough time to take your seat, and get ready to ponder the cosmos. Re: Small Conker And A Twix
Thanks again to Underworld for the Thursday surprise. This track definitely takes me back to '05, arguably one of their most prolific periods, when there were quite a few works in progress and Darren Price improv tracks appearing on UWLive and in concert. All leading up to the first RiverRun, "Lovely Broken Thing". "Small Conker and a Twix" could have been an interlude on any of the three RR's, but given its beatless, melancholy build, i'd add it to "Pizza For Eggs" (yes, "I'm a Big Sister..." is more ambient overall, but "Pizza" has a darker vibe for me).

If anyone can help me with that, please PM me. I do love Ancient Phat Farm Coat as a track and 20 minutes of that make stars appear in my eyes... Besides, today’s release is awesome!! |
