same here. there's so little variation going on in this track that it's just really... boring. there's nice sounds but it's boring. quite the underwhelming start to episode 5

at least Altitude Dub actually has more varied sounds going on and changes substantially from the start to the end. Toluca Stars, like i just said, hardly goes anywhere at all.

I wouldn't go that low on it. condense the first 4:30 into 90 seconds, build on the background elements further on into the track, and you've got something absolutely gorgeous. it's almost there!

For those keeping track of differences, the audio on the film fades out about 10 seconds sooner than the audio from the digital single, for some reason (no other differences). So, I guess, technically, the film uses Toluca Stars (Film Edit) (Film Edit).

i love it but also feel what others are feeling about the repetition. this does feel like it could transition into another section after 4min or so

Really have to question the pricing of some of these individual releases to download. €10.99 on iTunes and €8.99 on Google. I'll just wait for the boxset to arrive later in the year.

I dig it. if anything it ends too early. would've loved it to be extended a few minutes. or maybe just lop off some of the beginning.
I agree the beat is a little strange. Perhaps inspired by their locale

For me, the words "immersion" and "expansion" come to mind. Though unvaried, the beat sort of becomes hypnotizing, and so the sparse words and hints of melody/sounds just wash over me. Yeah, it's long, doesn't really evolve, but it find it calming, meditative and hardly boring. An edited version might pack more punch, but to different effect.

Agreed. Worth waiting an extra week for, absolutely lovely track.
