Re: Fanu samples Underworld
I was wondering when this would happen!

You know, if one has the proper will, the samples in the
"iDrum: Underworld Edition" are not the most difficult to
extract by any means.

I caught that, however I was looking more at the drums. At first listen, they had an uncanny resemblance to those in "You Do Scribble", but then I remembered that YDS is not even part of the iDrum app. Also, I guess those drums are pretty typical of Drum and Bass and could have come from any sample CD of the genre, or sequenced by Fanu himself. My mistake!

If it is the sound I am thinking of, its a Siren Tube (or something like that).

I did an internet search and all i could find was this:http://www4.unm.edu/physics/images/3d3030.jpg

It is a plastic tube that is about 2-3 feet long that you swing around in a circular motion to create the wind sound. I had one when I was a kid, they were somewhat popular in the 80s (and they tried marketing them to sporting events)

I have seen Super Furry Animals perform in their concerts with them.

I wish I still had mine.
