dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
I'm no authority on vinyl to say the least, however, I've started to collect a few of my UW albums on vinyl and was wondering out of the many releases of dubno - does anyone have any idea which was the best pressing of the album? it'll help begin my hunt. Thanks!

Have a look here. As far as I know, only two pressings were released (the original in 1994 and a re-release in 2003). So you won't wonder too long

Re: dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
thanks stimpee. I had a feeling it would have been either you, bigscreen, or -1 to reply...

Is there an advantage to 160g? I'm not sure what the standards are when it comes to vinyl - but my assumption is that the heavier the better... am I correct on that or do I stand to be corrected? Thanks!

According to this, apparently a standard record is about 130g, with inferior stuff going as low as 90g. The high fidelity stuff is 160-200g. The US limited edition vinyl of Barking is 180g:

Re: dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
It's also half speed cut which improves the cutting and thus the soundquality.

I picked up a Mint one on eBay a couple months ago and had change from a fiver, so just keep your eyes open in the usual places, I guess.

Re: dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
Half speed, spread over 2 discs meaning the peaks and troughs are further apart and giving a louder and more rich sound too.
