Hahaha now THAT's fucking lovely. Thank you very much - had over looked the Treva album, 'cos I couldn't believe Singalong was on it (which must be almost 4 years old now), but it's really good.

Re: It's all back Pete Tong (new Underworld - Electronic Part One))
maybe they did a special version of the track with a vocal masking effect added so we fuckers on the net can't burn it and sell it............???

Seems like a smart move to me..."release" the remix first so people hear the vocals and start to get into it......then "release" the "real" track, but add lots of effects to a handful of the vocal tracks to mess with us (the potential sonic theives amoungst us mainly), and then finally RELEASE ON CD/DVD the REAL track that sounds like the music from "electronic" with the vocals from "bang the poll" with just a touch of the effects added to the vocals.

At least I hope so.....I can sing into a fan in a monotone voice and recreate the vocals on "Electronic Singer Part 1"

I think that's a correct assessment of it. Only one of the three really bugs me. If the higher pitched one came down a bit in the mix, I think it would work a little better.

Seriously, who gives a fuck about the vocals, vocoder or not? The whole track's as dull as arse. No amount fo vodery non-vocodery stuff's going to compensate for that.

I don't think it's dull - it's just not a jump up and down style track

it's kinda like Luetin & Jumbo, where you bob along to the beat, or chill with your friends

I really wonder if this is gonna be on the new album, or if it's going to be a part of the soundtrack

ohhhhh, comparing it to the brilliance of luetin is bold... i think the actual tune is a little repetitive and not terribly exciting, i dont know...

Couldn't agree more. It worked on "Cups", but here it just doesn't gell. Agree that Karl's voice and lyrics need to be heard, it's one of the reasons we ALL love Underworld.

Interesting that he said it's "25 minutes" - maybe the new album is only 25 minutes long, sort of a "dj mix"?

The remix thing we heard first had some vocoder effect thingy on it and that sounded allright but still a little dodgy. I've been listening to the track and i can't get in to it at all, nowhere near as good as what we're used to from UW.
