Re: JG Ballard RIP
I didn't see this post, but having learned of his death a few minutes ago I immediately ran to the bound forum to post it there. Might as well have one of the mods delete it.

It's quite strange though, I'm on vacation and brought a Ballard book along with me to read and was discussing Ballard's book with a friend of mine just today before getting to an internet connection.

Merged.

He was a great writer, although I haven't read anything of his for years.

RIP

Re: RIP J.G. Ballard
Very sad to hear this. He was a brilliant, dark social commentator and he changed the way I look at a lot of things.

Re: RIP J.G. Ballard
At times like this its good to remember that he left his mark... what i love about the arts is that truely great artists are alive forever in their work... and i guess thats what every artist ultimately wants to achieve...immortality throught their work...

...he may have passed away but you can hear his mind when you read his words.. and thats a beautiful thing.

RIP

Re: RIP J.G. Ballard
Glad to be reminded of that truth, Dunwho. I've been meaning to reread his last novel, Kingdom Come.
