other thing that seems odd are the labels: jamscraper's side has one name outside the label, i mean, it's like the label was too small to contain the name of the mix and it was cut out. is this a label mistake? i haven't seen any pictures of the labels of this release so i was really weirded out when i saw the labels on my record.

i've one pic, it's the sleeve (ignore the other record):

actually, i'm interested in the FLK - whats that all about is it KLF covers, if so where can i grab the tracks - not seen that before

A while ago - I was trying to track down a download of the Kalevala singles but - for the life of me, I couldn't remember what the name of the "label" was - I ended up going onto http://www.klf.de/

and saw this 'news entry' or whatever you'd call it about "the FLK"

I don't think that they're really a "covers band" necessarily, but they seem to do a lot of stuff that references the KLF (and more than just the name)

although - I was never a really HUGE fan of the KLF... so... they could be just a 'covers band' (or even Bill & Jimmy for all I know - but I DOUBT that)

oh wait... they have a website too ->
http://theflk.com/

[edit]
oh btw - I did end up finding those Kalevala singles. I had them (as mp3's) before, but my external hd was ruined, and I lost them. If you haven't heard the Kalevala material... it's "ok" - but there are definitely 2 or 3 really nice tracks

it's like the chill out album, with some random folk sampling on top. i did like brackens (wonky mix) from FLK's soundcloud, which is a separate track. Brackens in the album plays as a part of a whole.

i believe that record has nothing to do with the KLF, there are no credits besides some 'thank you' notes and it mentions it's the first release of many to come.

anyone interested in more pics (or rips)? i can post them somewhere else.

Re: collectors' corner
I finally managed to buy Mother Earth/The Hump at discogs.
Do you think that price 84.99 Uk Pounds was ok, in 2011?
Who else have a copy?

I paid 50 UKP on htfr.com back in 2003, but I think that it's gone for much more than 85 UKP on ebay in the past few years. Hard to nail down a proper price, but if you can afford it and will enjoy the record, then it's all worth it, right?

I *think* I paid £50/60 for mine which I thought was an acceptable price for a record of its rarity and history with UW. Personally, I think its a bit high, but if you can afford it and want it, then bloody well snap it up.
