Re: Daft Punk Source Material
I had a bunch of these, it's cool to see them all in one place

I'd like to see an Orb list

or DJ Shadow

Re: Daft Punk Source Material
I actually got a torrent of a bunch of shadow samples a while back... and there was a blog which occasionally updated new tracks

although the torrent had a lot of tracks in not-so-hot bitrates, and the blog eventually shut down

I remember Patterson saying he'd be crushed if anyone found out where the drum sample from "Little Fluffy Clouds" came from. Would be nice to find out where all their samples came from though, especially all the vocal stuff.

Re: Daft Punk Source Material
i think i know the song where little fluffy clouds comes from. well my bro has it at least, but it might just be the hook part of it, instead of the beat...

and the shadow one is cool, although some of the tracks are very unilstenable (ie super cheesy) which is cool to see what he can make out of them...

the first two daft punk songs here are kinda sad though, not much imagination for these ones which have become known as dp songs only...

Yeah a few of them are particularly bad...in particular "Robot Rock" just took one part of that song and looped it over and over again. "Cresendolls" is little more than a remix and it's not surprising that the only new element to "Harder Faster Better Stronger" was the vocals. However, a few of those were kind of a stretch (I didnt see much similarity in "One More Time" or "Aerodynamic")
