Re: Donna Summer - RIP
Yeah, I was really saddened to hear the news.
I was such a fan as a kid--begged my parents to let me stay up late to watch her TV special, saved up my allowance to buy the Thank God It's Friday soundtrack which was omigod! eleven bucks, even recruited my Girl Scout troop to do a skit based on "I Remember Yesterday." To this day, many of her songs are among my favorites. Glad to see so many tributes about (including Karl's). She has earned them. |

Re: Donna Summer - RIP
Too many people dying in the pop world recently. RIP donna.
You all know what to do. It has to be: Donna Summer - I Feel Love (Patrick Cowley Mega Mix) full on 15mins version. (and then mix it into King Of Snake)

Re: Donna Summer - RIP
RIP Donna.
I have this vivid memory of being at the top of a Big Wheel at the funfair with my BF at the age of 17 and "I Feel Love" blaring out mega-loud. Then he puked over the side and some of it landed on some poor bastard walking past, dozens of feet below us... Still arguably one of the tunes that changed the course of dance music forever - when disco suddenly morphed into something far more exciting.
