Drift Episode 4 “SPACE”
SPACE is… techno as bright and brilliant as midday sunlight, it’s wild detuned bass and discomfiting vocals. It’s the boom-boom of digital dub and it’s gorgeously evocative ambient music. It’s music for fields, music for tents and for headphones; music to lose yourself in and to. SPACE is deep, it’s wide, and nearly forty minutes of new music.
DRIFT will continue from August 1st! We will make sure you are first to hear via email, but you can also follow on YouTube and Spotify to keep up with videos and releases... |

It’s up for purchase on TIDAL right now, as well as Japanese retailers. It should hit iTunes, Amazon, Qobuz, and all the others soon.

The YouTube version was intentionally cut by Simon (I asked), but it's a very blunt, 53-second jump cut at the 2:57 mark, so I'm not sure if that can be counted as a proper version because it's not a proper edit. |

Re: Drift Episode 4 “SPACE”
I am on my way to work, so I cannot compare waveforms, but I am very sure that Listen to their No and Schiphol Test have some subtile difference and altitude dub sounds like it has a slightly different mastering, but that my just be because of iTunes.
Doris was already mentioned. The EP is also about a minute longer, but again no time to see the exact differences. Definitely not the same tracks. But also my mind might device me |

Re: Drift Episode 4 “SPACE”
I did a pretty thorough A-B listen of all the tracks, and they all sound the same with the exception of the previously noted Doris differences.
Even the mastering sounds pretty much the same, which is different from the previous episodes (Episode 2, in particular). |

Re: Drift Episode 4 “SPACE”
Once again, the sum of the parts exceeds individual tracks.
I really enjoy "Listen To their No", "Schiphol Test", and "Border Country". "Doris" is fine, but a bit out of place given its origin. Really not a fan of "Altitude Dub" and especially not "Hundred Weight Hammer" But put it all together, and it somehow works better. In context, the duds are smoothed over, the vibe different.
