Werchter Setlist and short report
Hi,

Underworld came, played and got the crowd moving.
But me, I feel some emptyness...

As it is clear to me that playing a own show leafs more room to improvise and get the real fan moving, playing at a festival is a other thing...

Being great at a festival is the combination of the artist on stage and the crowd in front of it....Underworld did what they were supposed to do...move the crowd...
To say it with the words of Karl "You were amazing...You turned this place into the main stage tonight".

So this setlist is not really surprizing:
Rowla
Cowgirl/Rez
Spoonman
Everybody jump (forgot the real title)
2 Months Off
Werchter Poëm
Spikee
Improv
King Of Snake
Born Slippy Nuxx
Moaner
Push Upstairs
Jumbo

Greetz
Pappie

ps Karl : Next time I need a backstage pass to taste the best-of-the-world catering

Not that they haven't played these tracks recently, but still...a festival gig where they open with "Rowla"? Can this be true? And play "Spoonman" and "Spikee"?
And having "Push" near the end, that seems like a great set.
"Everybody Jump" = "Everybody Jack" = "Javelin Boy"

It was a HUGE night. From what I learned, there were approx. 30.000 people in and out of the tent while Beck was on the main stage.

I saw Underworld in Istanbul just 1 year ago, but this was something else. From this link you can see some videos I took:

I just wish that a DVD of one of the live shows this year pops out and we can re-live the whole night all over again and again.

For a first post, that rocks! Love the video of Rowla changing in to Cowgirl!

Listening to this show now!

Hmm, seems odd that they didn't play anything from OWB? As a festival gig, you'd expect them to pull out the hits, but instead, they treated the crowd to Spoonman & Spikee!

Starting with Rowla is also kind of unique...gets the crowd going stratightaway!
