This cut is amazing. I like it so much better than "Jigsaw Puzzle."

I think I actually prefer the score for The Outer Edges to the songs on Edgeland. I suppose the score is more Underworldy. I find myself not listening to any of the Edgeland tracks on their own, but I'll put on the record when I want a consistent tone to accompany what I'm doing or thinking. In that way it's a real proper album; Karl identified a sound and built a collection around it. But I wish I could listen to the isolated film score too.

I haven't looked at the movie yet. What is the score like? Is it basically an instrumental Edgeland?

*jaw drops* That's fantastic!

I'm saving my first listen for when I actually have time to focus on the album. Going on a family road trip soon and hope to give it a proper airing then...it's been a while since I've had a car and I miss highway listening! (Yes, I once received a speeding ticket for going over 100 mph to "Pearl's Girl.")

compared to the journey pic in the site, mine is significantly darker.

Yeah, with some of the percussive flourishes stripped out, making it sound more like some of the soft Underworld jams they'd sprinkle throughout the radio broadcasts.
