Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?
Congrats to those who did get tix!

My wife just pre-ordered me the 5CD box. I'm in the US, there's no way i'm going to make the gig, so i'm not fussed with the pre-sale... Just hoping there will be a stream or recording of the gig.

Sorry for those who tried and didn't get tickets. I know it's probably of little consolation, but if anything, the super-rapid sell-out of tickets/crashed site just shows how much interest there still is in the band we love and this classic LP.

Maybe a much larger venue would have been better to accommodate the masses, but it should be a nice intimate show for a lucky few, not a huge festival gig with people shouting lager, lager, lager etc. I feel for those that are real lifelong diehards and came up empty, but on the other hand, everyone thinks they're the biggest fan and deserves it, right?

Once tickets are added to the basket they are there for the duration of a timed session, the person has that time to complete payment otherwise they go back to available. Payments also get refused for all sorts of reasons.

Seems to happen to me a lot when buying tickets.
Good advice to keep in mind for the general onsale, which starts in just under 5 hours!

But each and every one of us *IS* the biggest and we each *DO* deserve it, right? (Said with a healthy dose of 'I got here 16 years late' sarcasm)

I'm with you though, after purchasing the box set I spent a day desperately digging around for a way to get me and the SO there, but it just wasn't gonna happen on our pay. Hope there's more than just an audience recording, but I'll take what I can get!

Best of luck to those of you fending with the masses for a general sale ticket.

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?
I think it's an outrage that there are always people that are in it for the money...
Real fans get robbed by these vultures...

Although I have a ticket reserved (Thnx Mike), I will go back on at 10am and try to get 2 more tickets...
And no, I'm not in it for the money... I'm already rich

Great times... Great times...

strangely, the page for the general sale says "sold out" already, even though it hasn't even started.
