The Walking Dead
Anyone else getting into this - the TV series I mean, not the graphic novel.

Have torrented the first 2 episodes - and am totally hooked.

Characters are great - Rick Grimes reminds me of Jesse from 'Preacher' - still one of the finest pieces of comic book writing I've indulged in.

Zombies, high quality direction and cinematography, believable characters, zombies.

Did I mention the zombies?

Really, really liking it - first season is only 6 episodes, but 2nd season has already been signed up for 13 episodes.

I've heard many good things about this. And now some more. Thanks!

Re: The Walking Dead
I'm getting into it, but see the short-comings. The episode 2 'gearing up' was just ridiculous and riddled with inconsistencies.

Yeah, I completely agree. But doesn't it always work like that with television mini-series, or soap opera type programs??? Ya know, kinda like marketing or something. I have feeling the 3rd will be a little more exciting as well as the 4th, then they'll throw in a lame episode just take up space and, then a good one, then a sucky one. Ya know what I mean????

Re: The Walking Dead
It's got zombies.

On television.

Proper zombies - not BBC style Dr Who circa 1970s zombies.

Of course it'll have inconsistencies - it's about zombies.

Anyway - I'm keenly awaiting the next 4 episodes in season 1.

Re: The Walking Dead
I have read a fair bit of the comics series, so I'm definitely gonna check this out.

Re: The Walking Dead
O.K. yeah, 3rd installment was fun. I'm so on this "Dynasty: The Real Story" soap opera.
