Calling Composers
Hi Dirties. I'm putting together a content library for music licensing. It is in its early stages at this point and I'm looking for composers who might be interested in submitting content. As a few of you may know, I work as the Music Director for Sirius Sound in San Francisco. I'm about to start my own company and begin accepting outside submissions. Until now, I have focussed primarily on my own work, but the needs of the production community are larger than I can personally accomodate. The nuts and bolts will be worked out soon, along with a proper Artist Agreement etc. Right now I'm just feeling out interest.
A few things to consider: Although it's not 100% a deal breaker, it is important to have the work sessions for any work you might consider submitting in the future. Clients LOVE changes. And they love stems. Right now, as I mentioned, I don't need any music, just an indicator of interest. Also keep in mind that I have a TON of electronic music..not to say that I wouldn't be interested in it, but more guitar based tunes, or tunes with real drums, piano, bass, guitar.. etc would be preferred. Please hit me up off forums at marshallwatsonmusic@gmail.com. As I mentioned, at this point all I'm looking for is interest. I'm compiling a list of composers and if you want to be on it holler at me. I'll be sending out proper information soon, artist agreements, marketing information etc. Stay tuned. Thanks! MW
