I've pretty much always been lost in the Underworld.
CHRIS LAW LOST IN THE UNDERWORLD

This is a mix I made yesterday and I sincerely hope another Dirty likes it as much as I do. It's not your average DJ mix. I'd love to know what you guys think!

Tracklist:

01 Underworld - Dark & Long (Dark Train)
02 Underworld - Dark & Long (Dark Train) [Chris Law remix]
03 Underworld - Hamburg Hotel [Chris Law refit]
04 Underworld - Confusion the Waitress [Chris Law refit]
05 Underworld - Dinosaur Adventure 3D [Chris Law remix]
06 Underworld - Pearls Girl / Coalition of the Killing - We Are the Glitch [ESKMO remix]
07 Underworld - TT [Chris Law's 'peTTsbud' remix 2]

Nice mix, very creative use of samples, like you said its not the average DJ mix.

I particularly like the Train -> Hamburg -> Confusion bridge... to hear HH beatmatched like that is quite interesting.

Looks good, Chris! I'll download this for travelling music. Not your average mix = right up my alley!

Thanks for the feedback Mike! Please pass it on to anyone whom you think may enjoy it And Holden, funny you should mention 'travelling music' - I completed this on Christmas Day, uploaded it yesterday, and one of my friends on Facebook replied to my post a few hours saying she was driving through a snowstorm in America, listening to the mix and loving it. I just can't get over how cool it is that you can finish something and in the same day, someone on the other side of the world can be vibing to it. I could almost weep at the beauty of the idea. I love the internet. And then of course I listened to it travelling on my way to work.

So much has been made of the idea of technology enslaving human beings. Yet all I have ever seen technology do is liberate people.

I'm rather amazed at how you worked TT into that mix.

Excellent mix, Chris! Really enjoyed your effects and edits, as well as the track selection (cool to hear Hamburg Hotel on top of CTW, for instance!)
Thanks for sharing.

Re: I've pretty much always been lost in the Underworld.
Thanks TheBang that TT remix is the only thing I didn't actually do on Christmas Day, I was last working on it in 2008 (as a remix in its own right) but then hit a mental block with it. I've got a couple of versions of it lying around, but this did seem to provide a fitting end to the mix, especially as the DJ mix 'under the surface' is all about my moving to the big smoke from Devonshire, taking a (dark) train to an ugly place and being an urban alien... ha. Of course I wouldn't even know about TT if it weren't for the awesome work you do so thanks

Thanks very much for the feedback holden & gingerorb, oh and Negativeone - sorry I didn't reply earlier but my MobileMe account was temporarily down so my site was as well. Here's the link to my old DJ mixes page. Most of them contain Underworld in some form or other (for example, both Blatant Dubstep I & II end with Underworld tracks), but you might really like the Underworld bit in "Ghetto Musick" - mixing between UW, Prince and Coldplay. No, come back! It's honestly rather good. Be warned though - diverse styles in these mixes!

It's so, so great to hear that people are enjoying the stuff, that's literally the only reason I do it, so... booya! Have a great NY everybody! I'm going to be dancing my heart out
