Hoping this features all the music, too.

Re: Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein free streaming event
Nice. And if the current "stream" of Twelfth Night is any indication, it's basically just a regular YouTube video, so it should be fully downloadable.
https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/s...e-frankenstein Been waiting for a quality home video version of this forever. Hopefully, it contains the full Overture too, which leads directly into the first scene. |

Re: Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein free streaming event
No full overture alas, but a very good performance no less. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's stream, as I've read there are some marked differences between how Cumberbatch and Miller plays the monster.

Re: Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein free streaming event
Nearly done with the second performance and just my opinion but I think Cumberbatch is definitively better than Miller as the Creature, and Miller is definitively better as Frankenstein. Cumberbatch's creature is far more tortured and emotive, you really feel what a wretched existence he lives within himself. Miller's is a gentler, even funnier take. No less valid, but for my taste it makes the story less dramatic.

Re: Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein free streaming event
Yeah, that’s what NT said during the live chat. I don’t get what the big deal is. It’s dramatized rape and murder, not real. You can literally go on YouTube and rent Hollywood movies that depict worse than that.
