Re: Alternative Light Source
Have listened straight through a few times...plenty of hooks and fun syncopated patterns, a few great tracks (especially opener "Bad Radio", which is dark and menacing, and weird, hypnotic " Little Fish". "Universal Everything" is one trick, but a good build). Listening to "Dark Matter" and "Storms End" will trigger Leftism memories, though it'd be hard for any album, Left field or other to match that album's mood and highs. For me, this is better than Rhythm & Stealth, which seemed too focused on the former, none of the tracks really evolving.

If I didn't know this was one half of Leftfield, it still gets my attention. As I know, its comforting that the sound has changed over 16 years, not retreading

As a side note, I may be crazy, but "Head and Shoulders" spoken rant reminds me of UW's "Ring Road" + "Trim".
