Re: Inland Empire - a film by David Lynch
hmm...

I'm just hesitant b/c I'd probably have to see it alone - which I HATE doing, or with someone that would probably not only "not get it" if not just outright hate it...

joethelion, the correct answer is 'b' and then going out afterwards and celebrating being done with god awful mid-terms. Do coffee and hit it up with some Amaretto.

Re: Inland Empire - a film by David Lynch
joe, go with B.

There are always other times to go out on a post-final/mid-term bender and you can always meet up later post film and play catch up drinking shots or straight bourbon or vodka to reach your friend's level of intoxication.

I say this only out of personal experience as I've opted out of the post final party many times to see films.

A friend rented the DVD and I'm waiting for him to finish it. I'm very curious about the second disc.

Re: Inland Empire - a film by David Lynch
90 minutes more into the rabbit hole is what it seems like. As interested as I am in seeing more, I'm somewhat hesitant to commit to it.

Side note/digression:

David Lynch was a guest on the NPR radio show here in the states last week called Talk of the Nation. If you have about twenty minutes to spare, or just cue it up while doing things online, it's worth a listen. I cannot help but be terribly amused by his enthusiasm and downright cheerful nature.

Re: Inland Empire - a film by David Lynch
saw this film a couple of months ago, i was surprised it didn't mesmerized as much as mulholland drive did.... i supposed i wasn't in the proper mood for seeing it.

anyway, i got an avi copy and i did not understand anything aswell, but finally i started appreciating the intense visual charge on every detail. It's so scaring, not in the way of horror films, but in an inner and mental way.

it's a raw one, but i like it.
