It sounds like it was quite serendipitous that these tracks survived and finally made their way to us today. |

Re: [new tracks] -> _unreleased_dubnobasswithmyheadman_era_
It's so bizarre to listen to this provisional running order, after years of familiarity with Dubno...that album is such a classic and so well integrated (well, maybe save "Surfboy") that it always seemed to me like the boys were s deliberate in what they wanted it to sound like. Then i learned that M.E. was largely recycled and that dirty had been around for awhile, too, along with skyscraper. Now, hearing these previously unknown tracks, you get the sense that they were really still in transition from mkI to mkII.
I'm trying hard to hear if anything's different from this to Dubno. The clangy drums on Dark and Long near the end are in a slightly different pattern, but this is all that seems apparent so far. The new tracks are growers, for sure! Certainly products of their time, but still, i like this early phase of UW with the guitar leads and sharp beats BIG thanks to Deckard, Negative1 and RTSR's for sharing!
