Re: Karl Hyde is Artist in Residence on Double J
first one up here:
https://www.abc.net.au/doublej/progr...beats/11556478 Karl being his usual self between tracks. he plays Can's "One More Night" which is one of those tracks you can definitely see being an influence on Underworld. also seems to be a live version of Thomas Dolby's "Flat Earth" which is a treat. "Toluca Stars" makes an appearance. Karl says they've been doing Drift for 30 weeks (???) |

Re: Karl Hyde is Artist in Residence on Double J
This series of radio shows were apparently recorded back in May / June while Underworld were in Sydney for the four concerts at the Opera House.

Nice touch with the Thomas Dolby, very suprised to see Kissing the Pink - Big man restless in there though. Didn't think anyone liked that group. I was a big fan of theirs in the mid 80s.

Third episode, Big Room Bangers, is available now:
https://www.abc.net.au/doublej/progr...ngers/11591284 Oh, I just realized that these episode titles are following the World of Underworld playlists themes. So, I guess next week will be Ambient. |
