Re: New Darren Emerson Track
its called Crash Jack and can be found on DE's myspace page, plus a bit about it...
'CRASH JACK - NEW CLUB TRACK In time for the Miami dance conference I’ve handed out to a select few DJs my first club track in over three years. It’s called Crash Jack and has already picked up plays on Radio 1 with Pete Tongs Essential Selection and the network’s Thursday night show In New Music We Trust. To hear it you can find a short sample on this page or check in with the site to find out when it’s being released. Remixes from Majik J and others are set to follow...' http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=32518508

Re: New Darren Emerson Track
Yeah, it sounds pretty cool...the drum loop the drops ~ 1 minute in reminds me a lot of old UW live improvs.

Re: New Darren Emerson Track
Not bad - I somehow keep expecting the melody of Rowla to kick in though.
I always do this - I hear something new and 99.9% of the time it reminds me of something else. Bah. Why can't I just listen and enjoy the novelty of something.

Me, too! We reference what we know. But it's that 0.01% that's brand new that's really exciting! Yeah, so, Emerson hasn't been too prolific or original since leaving UW, but this track at least shows that he'd learned something from his time with the band. Dig this better than "Scorchio" or other early 00's stuff.
