Thanks for the advice chaps!

Mind you, looking at the promo CD https://www.discogs.com/Underworld-B...release/234044 I see there was also an Atomic Hooligan mix of Cowgirl which I will miss out on. And Rez too (but not on the promo CD). I may have to buy the vinyl of those mixes. Or I guess I could do something naughty on youtube...

Breakbeats seem to work nicely with Rez.

EDIT (a day later): A croaky Rick was on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on the 24th talking about T2 & Danny Boyle: "For me, from the first meeting before Danny even started shooting, it was really understanding that we needed to evolve a langauge, I needed to do everything I could to help him navigate a sequel."

Re: T2: Trainspotting
Slow Slippy is like: they took the record at 45 RPM and and played it at 33, with the vocals kinda dubbed out and echoey. But the beats sound really heavy like a trip hop track. Simultaneously woozy and pounding. It's defo recognisable as the original version slowed down, not the 2003 piano version (though I've never heard the 2003 Down version, I have the Japanese CD single on order now).
There better be someone tripping out on some substance during this track.

!! FILM SPOILER ALERT !!
Eventually But: Spud doing some kind of melancholy goodbye note "I'm finished Gail, I'm Sorry...". Sombre minimal Rick stuff underneath.

Re: T2: Trainspotting
i am actually quite disappointed with Slow Slippy, it literally sounds like they just took the original track and slowed it down... like if i brought the song in Ableton and just did it myself with the artifacts from time stretching and all with some added little sounds here and there. it honestly loses the emotional impact of the original. i was expecting, i dunno, something more beautiful? something different than just slowing the original track down.
