Today's game was one of the best of this World Cup to watch. It was nice to hear the crowd noise over the vuvuzelas.
I really thought Diego Forlan was going to make that free kick on the last play. Hope tomorrow's game is as good. |

Germany - Uruguay was a great match, yes... and I would have loved that the final was Germany - Holland tonight
 Spain should win, but I'll support Holland, though...

History made: Spain had won the most games (27) without winning it all. That ended. No team had won the tournament after losing thier first match. That ended. No winning team had scored less goals going into the final (7). New standard.
Mueller (GER) wins the golden boot. It would have sucked if this game went to PKs. Way too much diving on both teams, way too many yellows. De Jong should have been given a red in the first half. Robben won't sleep for a week. So few great chances for both sides, only Iniesta put his away. He'd been holding onto the ball too much, I thought, over the past few games. Expert strike to win the biggest trophy in the world. |
