Re: 'Pizza For Eggs' thread
from 4 minutes in to the end of Food a Ready is the best shit UW has done since the "good ol days".

I've listened to this bundle a LOT today.

Re: 'Pizza For Eggs' thread
I d/l'ed this at work today and got to listen to the whole thing through in my mp3 player. The first track is really, REALLY pretty... reminds me of something off of Spiritualized's "Lazer-Guided Voices" -- and that's a good thing. I couldn't help but feel a bit underwhelmed with some of the other tracks, but that's only my first impression and very rarely do I ever have the same sentiments about a piece of music after I've had time to listen to it multiple times. R&K, with this release really exhibit the fact that they are kings of filling the sonic horizon. This production is so lush and full in spots that it almost seems like it's 3D.

I'll take more listens but for the parts I've been impressed with, very well done boys.

Re: 'Pizza For Eggs' thread
I've been listening to this all day on repeat
(ok ok, I stopped for lunch & dinner)

Fuck, this music is top notch - beautiful, ambient and mellow.

The detail is all there, like the earlier EP's, I love it.
Thanks guys.

Re: 'Pizza For Eggs' thread
how great would a mega-dubbed out remix of the second track be from someone like mad professor or scratch perry???

Re: 'Pizza For Eggs' thread
Wasn't some of the first part played on the Peel session? 'Riding home'.

Also 'Back in the Fears' was played at HMH (the second ambient track?). Not the entire song here. Still nice.

Great stuff.

Re: 'Pizza For Eggs' thread
enjoying this much, unzipping my trousers on the way to work this morning with my iPod.

I like this musical direction, as it reminds me of STITI's "jam session" sound.

For all the STITI references, did anyone notice how the beginning of Phat Farm sounds like the end of Stagger?

Nice catch. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it, but it definitely sounds like the same bit on the peel session.
