Re: Breaking & Entering OST avaible for pre-order
I didn't think RTSR would distribute the files, I was just wondering what was up with the site. Does anyone know where they moved to or have a link? I haven't been on there in years.

Also, a very good way to stop the spread of leaked albums is to withhold your review of it pre-release. Only about 3 of your here posted reviews of this album so far but it more then enough to send me on my merry way looking for the tracks. I probably wouldn't have even thought to do this had no one told me how they are listening to it right now and how great it is. How can my fanboy patience possibly compete with that?

I guess one could add spoiler tags, but fanboy patience for myself dwindles quickly when I know I can be hearing the music in 2-5 minutes tops. Additionally, a discussion thread could be started up that is for those who have listened to it and those who choose not to until they've seen the film or purchased a tangible copy of the soundtrack (or an intangible copy via I-tunes or another source.)

(It took 2 minutes to download the soundtrack.)

And that's about all that needs to be said about that topic on this board.

Agreed. This may be slightly off-topic, but whatever happened to being surprised? Previewing is nice, and i'm sure you'll buy the real deal anyway, but there's also a certain joy in anticipating the actual release date.

Re: Breaking & Entering OST avaible for pre-order
Here's my quick review (i've listened to it twice now):
It's a soundtrack. It sounds like a sound track. I like it. I'll buy it, but it's not Great. I'll buy it because I downloaded the trax and I'm somewhat of a completist. It reminds me of Ryuiki Sacamoto (spelling?). Really. Fav part: is the ambient guitar and the use of silence throughout. Nice negative space.

Thats very strange for you to bring that up, I just started listening to Sakamoto for the first time AFTER I finished listening to this album! His new album "Chasm" rocks! Well, it doesn't really "rock"...but it's pretty great.

Definately will buy it when it comes out, but I had to grab the new tracks early...we've been waiting too long for new Underworld! (any amount of time is too long)

imagine how surprised i was when i saw it listed! imagine the anticipation i had waiting for it since it was mentioned many months ago. we heard about he soundtrack ages ago. that anticipation built until the album leaked. anticipation satisfied by hearing leak. conscience satisfied when album purchased.

it's 2006, the cat's out of the bag and there's no turning back. if you don't want it early, don't get it. if you're so driven by what other people have and what you don't have, then that's another issue altogether. i'm not saying you as in you-holden, that's the global you.

life is simple, don't complicate it.

I hear that. I've made it a rule to not preview albums before they're released, at least as far as albums from artists I'm anticipating the release from. Not trying to be snooty, but I will wait until it's released.

PS: Sorry, I can't put together a sentence for the life of me today. Makes life interesting when one is an educator.
