Re: Underworld Spotting [Again]
Few days ago I finally finished translating a chunk off of a book about film. There was a case study on british film and the author used Trainspotting as an example. In that part was a section that outlined the importance of music in contemporary film, its economic spillovers and effects on pop culture. I noticed that they failed to remember one of the very few tracks that really just fit in with the ongoing scene, so in the part where they listed bands that marked the movie I decided to add Underworld next to New Order, Iggy pop and Blur.

Thanks to the wonder of the watch again feature, I too have just heard Cups on the slightly daft Come Dine With Me - not a programne I would immediately associate with the techno brilliance of u/w, but there you go. I reckon the most appropiate use of an u/w track was an eppisode of Wish You Were Here (for non-uk dirts it's a travel programne) and the perma tanned Judith Chalmers was experiencing the utter beauty and ruthless efficiency of Japan's bullet train - you'll never guess which u/w track was played

I love Come Dine With Me, though they seem to cast utter knobs instead of people thinking they are the mutts nuts at cooking.

Really? That's surprising- you wouldn't think someone would pull that song out without being a fan.
