Re: The Orbital Appreciation Thread
I've kept the track order (except for moving the 12minute Desert Storm, and I Think Its Disgusting to CD2) but changed the versions.

Changes on CD1:

Speed Freak (7.17) -> Moby Mutation (5:41)
Fahrenheit 303 (8.26) -> Fahrenheit 3D3 (7:05)
Chime (5.56) -> Son Of Chime (6:00)
Midnight (Live) (6.53) -> Midnight (5:06)
Belfast (8.06) -> Belfast/Wasted (7:03)

Which leaves room for 3 extra tracks on CD1:

Satan (6:44)
Choice (5:33)
Untitled (8:48)

and 10 tracks on CD2:

Macro Head (6:48)
Omen (6:59)
2 Deep (6:27)
L.C.1 (5:10)
Deeper (6:57)
Choice (Eye And I Mix) (9:18 )
Satan (The Rhyme & Reason Vocal Mix) (6:49)
Open Mind (5:28 )
Analogue Test Feb '90 (7:01)
LC2 (Outer Limits Mix) (5:53)

Plus the originals:
Desert Storm (12:06)
(I Think It's Disgusting) (0:51)

24 tracks in total. You can keep the original Chime as it is if you like.

Re: The Orbital Appreciation Thread
I downloaded the final show today. The John Peel show from Maida Vale, 280704. I'm actually getting quite emotional about the whole thing now. And I feel like a proper twat for not being bothered at all when all this was happening.

There are rumours abound that a live DVD may surface sometime soon.

Anyone reckon they'll ever do another gig? A short comeback tour in a few years perhaps? Feels wrong thinking this recording is the last time Halcyon, Satan and Impact et al will get a live roll-out...

Yes, the Maide Vale finale is a great set...lots of emotion from crowd and band, and it's always good to hear John Peel excited and appreciative.

i think it might be too soon for a reunion, esp. as the boys are busy with djing/side projects. They've got to build some interest in Orbital again...give it a while.

You know, was just listening to Middle of Nowhere...sooo tight and aggressive, that! But it has been pointed out that the Hartnolls seemed to get a lil tired in a hurry. MoN was fresh and full of ideas...Altogether comes 2 years later and breaks the mold of what one expects of an Orbital album (lots of ideas, but more like short doodles than epic symphonies), and by the time Blue is released, it's like a return to the old days (lack of energy or inspiration? i thinkl it ws only upposed to be an EP).

Yes. You do. Need to get some more. I've just been browsing eBay and you can get Snivelisation and In Sides for about 3 quid each BIN. Get involved as they're both wonderful listens.
