steven morris, as listed above!

btw, gillian and steve's remix of NIN should be out very soon.

hooky's band, Freebass, now has Liam Gallagher, Tim Burgess, Ian McCullogh and some other Manc/Northern singers doing vocals.

Re: The New Order / Factory Thread
wait... wasn't it Bernard that always said that JD sounded better live, which is why the live discs were included on the new JD reissues?

...then why would he not want to release live NO recordings...

Re: The New Order / Factory Thread
I'm really glad Peter Hook got reduced to a burping and farting machine in 'Control'.

Sumner should dislike their (New Order, not Joy Division... JD stuff is pretty good) live past because it's peppered with drunk and half assed performances. Perhaps Hook thinks they were Led Zeppelin up there but every time I saw them Sumner was forgetting what to sing and shouting at the sound engineer to "sort it out you fucking twat". *

Re: The New Order / Factory Thread
i'm a huge fan of j.d and n.o on record and saw j.d once and n.o countless times.while seeing n.o was always an "event" for me and my mates the band were more times than not a huge let down.bernie was nearly alway drunk or in a bad mood and the gigs would often come close to falling apart.i've meet the band socially on a few occasions and can also say that bernie is one of the moodiest mancs i've ever come across and i've been to the pub with mark.e.smith !

Re: The New Order / Factory Thread
the 93 US tour is notorious. Bernard is the moody one who more often than not, holds full responsibility for their live shortcomings.

these outbursts and mood swings are all part of what endears New Order to me. i love the band for what they are and what they've accomplished.

now, Jose M, care to give us any details about that JD show you saw? did you see Control and what was your opinion of how Corbijn captured Manc in the late 70s and the band in general?
