okay well within the context of the album 'when you...' just belts out eight times better than the initial listen. I remember back when I was thrown off by 'fit but you know it' a foolish thing to think now given what I feel about that track and the album that followed.
As far as this new album is concerned, well, I don't care how outlandish it sounds but I really think Skinner is one of the most important artists going these days. forget the admirable fact that he produces it all, the frankness he brings to his material, while quite familiar now, is irresistable and just gets deeper and more apreciable with every listen. I really think without him great albums like 'bang bang rock and roll' might not get the respect thy have now (and it's great as well). 'Never wen't to Church', 'Two Nations', 'war of the sexes' and 'hotel expressionism' stand out besides 'when you...'.
