No, no, I just think it's cheesy and full of dumb lines. That venom was for Chris Tucker.

I guess my irritation with 5th Element really has to do with how close it is to being a genuinely good movie, but the problem is, every time I'm about to forget the last horrible line, or whatever, another one is thrown in. I tend to be more antagonistic towards movies like that, that could have been good but are ruined by some twat's bad taste/awful humour, than just a flat out bad movie.

I think it worked once for him: here. Obviously his recent track record would support your general theory of his qualities.

Personally, I think the 5th Element was a total mess with the occasional bit of fun; Tucker being one of those parts.

and i got quite annoyed by chris tucker but enjoyed the other bits of fun.
