Re: Primal Scream Live (Recommended???)
Yeah, she could have really driven it home ending it with ..., for you"
![]() I wasn't a fan of Primal Scream until I saw them live.

Re: Primal Scream Live (Recommended???)
damn, sounds like a pretty raucous show.
Unfortunately, I broke my 5th metatarsal and am in a medicinal boot for the next 6 weeks so I don't think I will be able to get into the crowd thing. |

Re: Primal Scream Live (Recommended???)
the scream are so much more than Loaded, just as Underworld are more than Born Slippy and Radiohead were more than Creep. At least Radiohead and Primal Scream had the courage to drop those songs from their sets.

Re: Primal Scream Live (Recommended???)
Yeah but all I have is Screamadelica. I like most of the songs on it but I guess I'm just one of "those guys". For the record if I see UW live I'd probably like to hear "Born Slippy" too even if it isn't one of my favorite songs by them.

Re: Primal Scream Live (Recommended???)
I scored free tickets to the Chicago show last night (thanks to my favorite record store and sitting my ass on the couch on a Friday night at precisely at the right time.) It was a great show, especially as someone who is not familiar at all with their music. It was very energetic, and plus they had the green laser, which makes any concert that much better. I'd say I'm a fan now.

seen them 5 times, 4/5 were absolutely amazing and 1/5 indifferent.
One of my favourite live bands

Re: Primal Scream Live (Recommended???)
Up/down sorta band, seen them three times, twice at festivals, the best of which was Electric Picnic (07? maybe?) and they were good, but not great, sound let them down a little.
Best place to see them i think is in a small venue, i saw them in the Olympia in Dublin, and the sound simply filled the room with Swastika Eyes ripping the place apart, i will never forget it! But a couple of my friends who had seats on a tier lookin down on it thought it was fairly underwhelming. I think they depend a little on the quality of sound, however if i wouldnt put them off because of this, they are always always worth the price of a ticket, and if i had the chance id go no question... good sound or bad sound you will have a great night. there is always a good vibe at their gigs and the latest album was the best theyve come up with in a long time providing some great bluesy stompers when you see them live. I say go! |
