I've seen boards where the posts of anyone with a post count smaller than 10 had to be approved by a mod.
--> spam problem solved. Also, whats up with the members list? More than 9000 members and 8200 of them never posted and are probably fake accounts that could be deleted.

Yes, the user-list is full of people that had their "last activity" aka, last time they signed on in 2005 and 2006. If it was up to me I would do a huge clean-out, and i'm sure that is on Yan's agenda, it's probably just a lot of work setting up the rules to do it nicely.
