Re: best of 2006 sofar
i like everything new...

vinyl / cd whatever...

so if when comes then, hey its great for me... so its been good so far, vinyls have arrived, a cd / soundtrack is on the horizon, and i've had some kool stuff sent to me too...

so as much as i enjoyed a nodding rick and karl... (i'd like one for the back of my car to keep rather than a movie / wav file)...

tokyo 3xcd must be the best thing this year so far, the quality of the discs, and the quanity of the discs... well it was a nice surprise when it came along...and unofficial official release so to speak

Yep - I think the Tokyo CD was the best for me too. I will no doubt have a different view in a few weeks (after the Frankfurt gig )

How did I forget the Tokyo cd??? Hearing "Mmm Skyscraper" fade into "Kittens" for the first time, plus Karl shouting "Ricky in the grooooove!" during "Jaunita", plus, hearing the beautiful, melancholic spoken voice "I'm a big sister..." for the first time - it still sends shivers down my spine. And then came the ep!! - a truly awesome piece of music - "..these are the rails, and these are the weeds, that live in the crack, at the back of the world" - they have to be the most beautiful and profound lyrics of the year.

[COLOR=Purple]ow yes! the Tokyo cd's were awsome
but that knodding movie, it gets to my heart , makes me smile everytime, a totally different Rick as we see him usually very serious looking, very into the music, and concentrating on what he's doing! and Karl usually the clown of the family, lifting 2 fingers behind Rick's head, and now looking so uninterested hehe.
But Rick's big smile is priceless

You hit it on the head, perfectly! I like how Karl is very mellow and relaxed, just mildly knodding his head and moving his eyes from left to right. Meanwhile, Rick has a huge grin on his face and is moving his eyes from left to right and just really into the music. I like to think he's like this during some of the dirty radio sessions when he's joking around with Karl, but otherwise, Mr. Smith at the controls is always very serious.

that's a very pet shop boys moment for me...

they should put that on the menu screen of the DVD - when they ever get around to releasing one...
