Make an eclectic mixtape for today...
Okay, so this thread was inspired by another boards' "Back to Mine" ponderings. Here's the idea: pick 90 minutes of music for relaxing or entertaining friends back at your place after the show. Why 90 minutes? Well, pretend we're still using cassettes to record the mix, not burning mp3s to CD.
So you get two 45-minute sides. What sums up your musical interests (at least for today?)Holden's "Back to Mine" 2/13/06: Side A: The Orb: "Outlands" - 6:10 The Police : "Regatta de Blanc" - 3:07 Royksopp: "Remind Me" - 3:39 Beck: "Mixed Bizness" - 4:10 Chemical Brothers: "Dig Your Own Hole" -5:27 Genesis: "The Waiting Room" - 5:24 Radiohead: "The National Anthem" -5:52 Soul Coughing: "Screenwriters Blues" -5:08 The Sundays: "Cry" -4:06 Side B Cat Stevens: "Miles From Nowhere" - 3:33 Way Out West: "Melt" -5:27 Sigur Ros: "Gong" -5:33 Modest Mouse: "Ocean Breathes Salty" -3:51 Air: "Brakes On" - 4:23 Blonde Redhead: "In Particular" - 6:05 Lemon Jelly: "Space walk" - 7:02 Hum "Mrs Lazarus" - 3:38 Underworld: "Twist" - 6:24 The Postal Service: "Natural Anthem" - 5:07 Next?
