i don't need another LBT download, i'm just curious about the status of my account.

DRM places major restrictions on the mp3 itself, this is only restrictions on the site because i'm sure people who arent you and me and other dirts were letting their internet buddies just use their account or just set up ghost accounts for mass abuse. so no, it's not DRM. secondly i cant think of too many places that let you download more than one copy of what you bought. third why would you ever need to have unlimited downloads? assuming most of us have it, that THREE chances to back up. demanding that the well is endless or youre throwing a fit is just bratty.

and fourth wtf was all that nonsense concerning the encoded stuff? OBVIOUSLY if something screws up it's not going to count against a download.

agreed... i think it makes perfect sense to try and restrict the re-download affect... when it is too easy one would just download it again instead of using another method to move it (say downloading a track again at work instead of bringing it on a jump drive/ipod)

I have to agree. The 3 download rule seems reasonable for 99% of legitimate accounts, and if you really have a valid reason for more than 3 downloads, I'm sure you can use the contact method provided on the site to request another one.
