to all the talk (look it up), about the different versions, videos, promos, and remixes of beautiful burnout... and no, they don't sound the same, unless you consider the exclude the dub mixes...they're all very unique, including the edits...the video mix, the 'what dog mix', etc.. later -1 |

sure, there were a lot of posts about the different FORMATS, but as far as the remixes in of themselves... not so much and yes, they (the remixes of BB by other artists) do sound alike... aaaand they're all in the same style of music as well (tech/minimal whatever) [edit] and I'm not saying that minimal, Pig & Dan, Tiefschwarz, nor even Mark Knight as "bad" per se I actually really really dig Pig & Dan but...at the same time, it's nice to have something DIFFERENT even all the Crocodile mixes were pretty much just straight tech / minimal stuff (although, it was nice that each of them were very different amongst themselves... like I couldn't imagine someone confusing the Oliver Hunteman mix with say... the Innervisions Orchestra Mix - which, in my opinion you couldn't say about the BB remixes) Last edited by joethelion; 04-21-2008 at 11:50 PM. |

Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
i stopped caring about remixes since AHDO, i havent bothered to listen to about 90% of them since. i'm not going to search out for consistently middling interpretations of underworld songs. thats not a fun time.
theres more response to this one because it's featured on the website (making it a lot easier to access) and because it's "different" in a completely awful way. |

But I have to argue that it is a bit minimal.

Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
i can't deny that i love the pig and dan UW remixes. heh, it's almost a fetish though, ten years ago i would have relished being into house at all. it wasn't cool back then....

To be honest I enjoyed both of 'em. Maybe it's just my eclectic mind, but both of 'em just sound cool enough to listen to more then just once...

Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,
hm it starts out pretty interesting with the chopped up vocals but it goes downhill from there. Production wise it isn't bad, clean samples, propa EQ...but the arrangement leads to one big load of nothingness. It starts housey and turns into garage. No clear direction. Keep on working though...O, Fakebloody one.
