Re: crocodire....
Nothing dire about Croc...after experiencing UW on Friday night, I have to say that these guys are on top of their game...and the new stuff they played (both Croc and BB) add to the rest of their catelog nicely. They took a crowd who semed rather flat (during Oakenfold) and got the placejumping, dancing and celebrating in unison almost immediately...Croc was about 2-3 songs in and the crowd loved...by the time Karl breaks it down with the chant of "All these Things" the corwd is moved...

Croc is class...period!

I'm sad for you. After so many years, be disappointed every time...

If Oblivion' is in 'A hundred days off' what 'Second toughest in the infants' is in "dubnobasswithmyheadman" then this promise good things, in my view...

um dont you mean fallen Underneath the radar ?

anyway. been listening to crocodille. pretty good, like the 'bridge' vocal part the best, when they sort of swirl up (not sure what he actually says there thogh)

also, awsome grindy base guitar line.

ok, not an instant favorite, but i think its a harsh call for anyone to say they are washed up and out of it. The breaking & Entering soundtrack was absolute crystal, as were the sounds in sunshine.

they seem to be definitely approaching a more 'atmospheric' 'electronica' now. but, as someone said, they are 50 odd. Besides which they seem to do it better than ANYONE. its dammed tough to write a minimal ambient soundtrakc and not sound like you a cranking the chain

Re: crocodire....
you see the main problem is that they are famous for one banging hit and a several banging follow ups, pearls girl, moaner, king of snake etc...

people still expect that...

but maturing with age, the band have followed the logical path... banging out 'another born slippy' is simply pointless and i suspect not what the guys want to or even can do nowdays...

they seem to be making their music for themselves and letting us in on the journey, they have no paymasters any more and as such can do what the hell they like...

its not like the production is shoddy or the sounds are rehashed its all fresh new and exciting stuff, just take your time people to listen to the new stuff with clairty and enjoy the band for what they are now...

what has gone before will always be underworld, what we have now is underworld for the new millennium....

its a journey, stay on the path with the band... you won't be disappoined

Matt

Re: crocodire....
How can anyone say they're washed up? I think they're better now than they ever have been.

Re: crocodire....
I can see someone not liking Crocodile, but they're probably the same people that didn't like Mmm Skyscraper I Love You. The two are very much in the same vein.
