Re: Urban Hymns - The Verve
For the record, they had A Storm in Heaven in stock in the first record store I went to, and it's not a particularly good record store, either.

I had never heard it before, but picked it up due to this thread.

It's great. I'm very happy to have it for the summer. I took it out to the beach and collapsed in the sand and listened to it while the sun set the other night and it was just perfect. Also, today, driving out to my folks' place on a sunny day with the windows rolled all the way down, singing along...felt just luverly.

Re: Urban Hymns - The Verve
storm in heaven and northern soul have got to be some of the most underrated albums ever. Richard Ashcroft craziness seems so much more driven here, definitely should hit these after urban hymns

Ooooooooo......Slide Away is hands down the best song on Storm in Heaven. I think I'll listen to it now....

Re: Urban Hymns - The Verve
for those interested the band are back together, are touring in december. u can download a session they did www.nme.com/verve
sounds pretty good so far, much more in style to their first 3 eps than any of urban hymns
