That is perhaps the one Spike Lee joint/film that I can watch on repeat for a day and not get bored of. The mix of genre/period piece helped a great deal for the subject matter and the New York aspect too. It seems like that film was all but forgotten by most people by the time it comes to talk about Spike Lee. I loved the poster art for the film too using the actual NY Daily papers headlines from the era.
