Re: Batman Begins
so they said its in the same universe as tim burton's batman? i wouldn't really complain if he was the villian for the next movie, what great villians are left?
just finished the bonus dvd and have to say its one of the few extra dvd specials that i actually wanted to watch and enjoyed. don't know if its because i liked the movie or because it was really interesting. first off, so was this a british film because it seems like everyone involved in the process is british and most the filming done there too. second off, the FUCKING TUMBLER IS BADMOTHERFUCKINGASS!!! thought it was cool watching the film but seeing the process that they went through to make the film for the film was impressive. i'd take a tumbler over a ferrari anyday. seeing them test drive it on backroads made me envious. |

Re: Batman Begins
Okay it's been damn long enough, no excuses,
SPOILERS AHOY! If Batman had a problem with killing that one dude at the first, why did he not mind KILLING EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM!?!? The scene with his parents could have been avoided if they went out the main doors and not a freaking alley. Batman sounded like Donald Trump everytime he put on the suit....really laughable shit. The "fight" at the shipping yard was a mess and just went nowhere...too zoomed in and dark to make out anything. Sound effects and some dumb acting extras. It would appear if you light a brick mansion on fire the bricks explode.....! ![]() and once it burns to the ground....the slab it was built on is only a quarter the size of the mansion that was on it...how the fuck is that? Gotta admit, the trippy shit was cool with the drugs being sprayed (especially when Scarecrow looks at B-man...ha ha) but it didn't work well as the main threat.....OH NO, the whole city could trip out, maaaaan. Heavy. Booooooo.........give me Burton's junkyard dog Batman anyday over this trying too hard Nolan crap. ![]() Glad you guys like it....and it wasn't as bad as most Batmans...but for me it was a huge letdown. I'll try it once more on dvd or hbo, maybe it'll grow on me. Still have hopes for the sequel because they don't need an hour of setup material. ![]()

Re: Batman Begins
my friend (not a comicbook enthusiast) thought the same too after he saw the end of the movie on dvd. he thought this was the prequel to the first Batman movie since the joker was the bad guy in Burton's 89 movie.
AFAIK it IS a prequel.....to Batman (as a character and not as the Burton movie). or like a movie version of the "prequel" stories of the comicbook. (plus the obvious continuity issue...Joker killed Bruce's parents in the 89 movie) |
